The couple are lovers of Star Wars characters like The Mandalorin and Baby Yoda (Grogu). Their first date was in the rain right after Christmas 2021 to Skewered Thai. Travis would come over every Wednesday night to watch the new episodes snuggled on the couch. They still love anything Star Wars or with Mando and Baby Yoda as gifts.
Their second date was to Fifth Water Hot Springs where they woke up at 4am to get to the pools for sunrise. Christa is not a hiker and didn’t have shoes that were warm enough for the below freezing weather, so Travis cut the sleeves from her thermal long sleeve shirt and made them into warm socks— a creative rescue!
Six months later the couple moved in together. They manifested the perfect bright and sunny apt with an open kitchen and teal accent walls. Rocket the bearded dragon hung out in the south-facing window. Humorously, Travis and Rocket share the same Taurus birthday.
Christa’s first road trip out West with Travis was in the Tesla where he surprised her with a ring at another hot springs stop. The snow was falling but their hearts were warm at Glenwood Hot Springs, Colorado, where the pools were named for precious stones. They announced their engagement at Decadance in Denver on New Years Eve 2022-2023.
They have traveled as a couple to Iceland and Scotland, and Florida’s Love Burn. Travis has flown nonrev on Christas work trips at Delta to Alaska, Paris and Amsterdam.
As a couple they love eating (non-dairy and dairy) ice cream, Thai Food takeout, going to the gym or practicing hot yoga, dressing up for Raves and themed parties, and cooking healthy dinners at home. Travis’ love language is cooking and Christa’s hobby is crafting dream catchers.
They recently moved from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Phoenix, Arizona. Christa was hired as a professional pilot and Travis’ electrician career took him from construction into control systems— an exciting change for them both!
Changing careers, moving out of state, and planning a wedding all at the same time, has proved they can handle anything together with a little help from their friends and family.
The couple hopes to raise a family of children, lizards, and fur babies. They have plans to travel to Japan, Turkey, and Bali. Together they will explore more worldwide hot springs and hope to finally SCUBA dive together. Whatever they do and wherever they go, their days will be full of wanderlust and adventure!
