Their story began at Springfield College, where they both worked as graduate assistants—Connor with the men’s basketball team and Christa with the women’s lacrosse team. They were introduced by Christa's roommate, Marissa, and soon found themselves on the same intramural volleyball team. Connor still claims he was the best player, even though Christa played in high school!
At first, they were just friends, but Connor made it clear he wanted more. One memorable morning, after a night out, he promised to join Christa for a 6 AM spin class—and to her surprise, he showed up! That impressed her, and from there, their friendship blossomed into something special.
Life took them in different directions when Connor accepted a job at Middlebury College as the assistant men's basketball coach. Christa stayed behind to earn her teaching license and coach at Elms College. That year apart was challenging, but the reunion was even sweeter when Christa found a job in Middlebury, allowing them to live together finally.
Middlebury holds a special place in their hearts as the site of their first apartment. After four years at Middlebury College, Connor received an offer he couldn’t refuse at Deerfield Academy, bringing them full circle back to Massachusetts. Since moving to Deerfield, they've created many wonderful memories, especially with their dog, Doug, who is a cherished part of their family.
They are excited to celebrate the next chapter of their journey together!
