It was a Sunday Morning at the end of September 2019 when Samantha was working her waitressing shift at Macky's Bayside Bar & Grille in Ocean City, MD. Christian was on vacation with his friends, and stopped in for a bite to eat before getting on the road to travel home.

Samantha decided to pick up the first table of the day, which happened to be Christian's table. Christian made conversation with Samantha over her name tag where he noticed it said she is from Gaithersburg. Christian shared he lived in Rockville, close by.

Later on in their meal, Christian asked Samantha if she would like to go on a date sometime back home. She was hesitant and said she would think about it. When the checks came, Christian asked Samantha to put her number on the bill so he could text her later. She agreed and left her number.

Christian texted her, and they made brunch plans for 2 weeks later when Samantha would be home from the beach. During that brunch date they learned about each other's families, love for travel, and love for food. Their date ended up being a few hours long as they went to the mall, walked around, got Starbucks, and ate again.

They went on a second date two days later to the Bullpen in DC, to watch the NLDS Washington Nationals baseball game. They took the metro down to Navy Yard, where a husband wife duo told Christian and Samantha they were a really good-looking couple. They enjoyed drinks, shared their first kiss by the water, and proceeded to miss the last red line metro home (that's a story for another time).

Since then, Chrisitan and Samantha have traveled to San Diego, Joshua Tree, Canada, Prague, and Munich with future plans to visit Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. They now live together in Florida with their dog Birdie, enjoying the beach and sunshine!
