Our story begins when Christian and I first met in 4-H many many years ago. We attended many of the same camps and events together while hanging out with the same friend group. This is where Christian will tell you that he had a crush on me since 7th grade and how he asked me out 4 times throughout our middle and high school lives before I said yes... (I'm sure you'll hear the story at the wedding).

Finally on the 5th asking... (or so he says it was) on August 1st, 2019, Christian asked me out at the Verne Drive In movie theater. This was right before I left for college and he began his Senior year of high school.

After Christian graduated high school and I finished my freshman year the next 3 years put us at an even longer distance, he went an hour and half farther north where he started attending Alexandria Tech while I was down at Iowa State 5 1/2 hours away. Once a month we would switch coming to visit each other.

Finally, on our 4 year year anniversary, on August 1, 2023, Christian popped the question at a little park outside of Sioux Falls. It was such a happy day :)
