It all began in the fall of 2019. Christian was a sophomore at Brandon Valley High School when he noticed Courtney, a senior, and decided to say hi. For Christian, it was love at first sight—he knew right away that there was something special about her. Courtney wasn’t exactly looking to date right before graduation, but something about Christian stood out.

They shared both choir and math class and quickly became daily conversation buddies. After a few months, Christian asked for her Snapchat, and soon they were talking nonstop. Their first hangout, planned as a quick two-hour meetup, turned into a full day together. The spark was there from the start, and Courtney drove home that night knowing Christian was definitely going to be in her future.

We officially started dating on March 20, 2020—just as the world shut down. As strange as it sounds, the pandemic was a blessing in disguise. Life slowed down, giving us time to really be together. No distractions—just game nights with family, long walks, deep conversations, and lots of little projects that helped us build a strong foundation.

Over the next few years, we grew together while staying busy with football seasons, dance performances, summers at the pool, study sessions, family trips, and everything in between.

Then, during spring break 2024, Christian planned the sweetest proposal in Omaha with help from his mom and sister. At a park special to his family, he got down on one knee while we were taking “casual” photos and asked the big question.

Now here we are—planning our wedding for June 20, 2026! By then, we’ll have been together for six years. We’ll say "I do" at Brandon Lutheran Church and celebrate afterward, surrounded by the people who have supported us since day one.

We’re soaking in these final months of engagement, cheering each other on, and knowing the best is yet to come.
