To paint the picture of how we met…

It’s October 9th 2021, a crisp Saturday evening at the Tall Ship in East Boston.

CJ was out celebrating a friend's birthday and the normal shenanigans ensued. Although reluctant at first, after a long day in the White Mountains, Emily was convinced to go to the bar with her friends “for just one or two drinks” .. We all know how that goes!

Both their nights likely started off the same, drinks.. oysters.. more drinks etc.

Things changed when Emily spotted CJ from across the bar.. Her friends egged her on to go say hi and after a shot of Tequila for good luck that is exactly what she did. CJ will tell you he knew from the second they met that there was more to their story than just a quick hello.

Conversation flowed over more drinks (surprise, surprise..) and in hopes of keeping the night alive, CJ offered to take a stroll along the waterfront. The memory is a little fuzzy but the connection was undeniable. We laughed over drunk silly stuff and we can recall a perfectly executed spin and dip that could have just about sealed the deal. There was a certain feeling that we wanted to know more about each other, that this was just the beginning. Holding on to what we both knew was there, phone numbers were exchanged and the conversation has yet to stop : )

We had found Love in a hopeless place.

Today Emily and CJ are saving up to buy a Home of their own, are parents to an amazing Golden Retriever named Rupert and over a shared love of food and wine, look forward to hosting you all for dinner again one day.
