Is there a dress code?
We kindly ask that everyone wear formal attire in neutral colors. Acceptable colors are beige and tan tones, white, ivory, black, navy, brown, and light blue. If you have any additional questions about this ask a family member, the couple, or a member of the bridal party.
Can I bring my children?
We love all of our friends and family's children! However, due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests under the age of 18, with an exception to those in the bridal party or if it is otherwise specified on your invitation. We encourage you to use this evening to have a fun date night!
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to the limited capacity of our venue, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless otherwise specified on your invitation. For example, if you have a plus one your address will be listed as "*your name* and guest," or it will have your guest's name written next to yours. If this does not provide clarity, when you RSVP and type in your name, you will see if you have a plus one. We want to celebrate this day surrounded by close family and friends. We hope you understand and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about this!
When should I arrive?
The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30, we ask that you arrive 15-30 minutes early to ensure you find a seat and are ready for the ceremony to begin! Make sure to consider travel and the change of time zone (the venue is within a central time zone). If you arrive after 4:30, we ask that you wait to join the wedding until the cocktail hour at 5:00 to prevent disruptions of the ceremony. We understand anything that may cause you to be late and will be excited to celebrate with you at the reception!
Can I take pictures during the ceremony/reception?
In order to ensure we are fully present, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request that you turn off and silence your phone during the ceremony. We have hired an excellent photographer and videographer and would love to send you pictures and videos upon request. During the reception and cocktail hour please feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you'd like and share them with us!
What's the bar situation?
We will be providing an open bar with beer, spirits, wine, and cocktails! We will also have a variety of non-alcoholic options. We do however ask that if you plan to utilize the open bar, you stay in one of our listed hotels (which are within walking distance to the venue) or have a designated driver as we care about the safety of all our guests!
Where can I stay the day before or night of the wedding?
In our travel section of the website, we have linked two hotels within walking distance of the venue. We have limited rooms blocked off at a set discounted rate for our guests. Hurry to book a room if you plan on staying as we have a large amount of friends and family from all over the Midwest and Canada! After we run out of rooms in the room block you may still book at either of these hotels, however, we cannot guarantee the pricing.
