Our Wedding

As some of you may know, Joey &amp; Christie met through mutual friends in 1999 and dated through early 2000. But as life happened, it took them on separate paths. They occasionally stayed in touch over the years through social media with friendly exchanges of birthday wishes, holiday cheers, or sometimes to share news about a mutual friend which is what happened around Thanksgiving in 2022. They were both reaching out to each other after hearing the sad news of a mutual friend. This initiated many hours of conversation, catching up on the past, and learning each other again. The connection was instant, like the 23 years since they previously dated was just a blip in time, and they picked up where they left off. It was Joey &amp; Christie 2.0. A little over a year later, on Christie's birthday (February 6, 2024), Joey extended a romantic marriage proposal to Christie to which she said "YES"!

In order to have color coordinated photos of our special day, we kindly request our guests to wear wildflower colors or a bright, spring/summer color from our wedding color palette. Gentlemen, we would love to see you wear a fishing shirt in one of the colors in the palette. Boots and jeans are certainly appropriate as well as dress shorts or slacks. If you choose to wear shorts, we do ask that a closed toed shoe is worn. No flip flops please.

Things to Do

Dinner will be buffet style serving lasagna, chicken alfredo, salad, &amp; bread sticks from Lasagna House. We will be providing some beer and wine but this is also a BYOB reception. We will provide some mixers; Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite. We ask anyone bringing a cooler to please label it and store it in the kitchen. Please don't keep coolers at your table. You're welcome to keep liquor bottles at the table. Overnight Accommodations:Due to the rural setting of the venue, there are no hotels located directly in the area. The closest hotel accommodations would be located in Livingston or Cleveland. Guests may also consider booking an airbnb or vacation rental in the nearby towns of Coldspring, Livingston, or Cleveland. Alternative options to contribute to The Honey Fund below:
