I saw on facebook that one of my fraternity brothers was going to a sorority formal with a pretty brunette girl. I thought to myself what is that goober doing with a such a beautiful girl like that? Fast forward four years later, I matched with Christin on a dating app. We immediately bonded over both graduating from Georgia Southern University and that we are Catholic.
We agreed to go on a date, so I proposed we meet somewhere to grab a drink, but Christin can't drink and then drive shortly after. So I offered a meeting for coffee, but Christin does not drink coffee. Finally, at the suggestion of a friend, my last attempt was to meet for sushi. Christin said she loved sushi and we met a few days later for sushi at Genki Noodles and Sushi at the prado. Genki is still a place we frequently visit and we recommend for sushi.
We both liked college football, so our second date was to watch the Army and Navy game while I was recovering from gum graft surgery. The next few dates went well and we met for dinner before going to a friend's house for a Christmas party. While we were coming back from dinner, (while sitting in traffic on the exit ramp of the highway) I asked Christin to be my girlfriend and she agreed.
Around 5 years later, we had Georgia Southern football season tickets. While in Statesboro, GA for the first game of the year, I took Christin to the famous Sweetheart Circle where I proposed to her and she accepted! We can't wait for the big day!
