Bobby and Tina met the way many great love stories begin at a party. Or rather, many parties. They’d often find themselves chatting in the kitchen or by the fire pit outside, and while things were casual (Tina was dating someone else), Tina had a feeling Bobby had a little crush on her (he wasn’t subtle about it).
It wasn’t until a Christmas party in 2019, when they were both single, that sparks really started to fly. A week later, Bobby left for Christmas vacation in Florida with his family, and when he returned, he surprised Tina with a souvenir (a shot glass). They had only just started talking more seriously, but the sweet gesture made a lasting impression.
They rang in the New Year together at yet another party. Right after midnight, Bobby had to head home to wake up in a few hours for work. Tina walked him to the door, and that’s when they made it official.
Since then, it’s been a journey full of love, laughter, Jaguars games in Jacksonville, camping trips to Lake George, a LMSW, casino trips, renaissance fairs, New England hikes, theme parties, their first home, three cats and countless memories.
In March 2025, they took a safari trip to India, where Bobby planned to propose at the Taj Mahal. But as travel stories go, things didn’t go quite as planned, and the grand proposal had to wait.
On their final morning, over breakfast on a balcony overlooking a tea garden, with the sounds of gibbons calling in the distance and sunlight pouring over the trees, Bobby got down on one knee and asked Tina to marry him.
She said yes, and now they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter together.
Dress Code: Sparkle & Shine!
We’re ringing in the New Year and our “I do’s” in style! To match the festive spirit of the night, we invite our guests to dress in their most dazzling attire, think sequins, metallics, and anything that sparkles or shines.
Semi-formal is encouraged: knee-length or longer dresses for ladies, and suits or blazers for gentlemen. Please, no denim or t-shirts. Let’s light up the night together in true celebratory fashion!
Your love and presence on our special day is the greatest gift of all. We’re lucky to already have a home filled with everything we need, if you are planning to celebrate us with a gift, in lieu of a traditional wedding registry, we kindly ask for contributions toward our future such as home improvement projects or our baby fund. Gift cards, cash, checks, or any token of love are deeply appreciated as we start this next chapter together. Thank you for your generosity and support!
Q: Is there a hotel block?
A: We are not doing a hotel block, but there are plenty of great options nearby! If you need help finding a place to stay, feel free to reach out to Tina, she’s happy to help point you in the right direction.
Q: Can I bring a plus one?
A: We’re keeping our guest list intimate and are only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. If you received a plus one, it will be clearly indicated on your invite. Thank you for understanding!
Q: Are kids invited?
A: Children are only invited if they are listed on your invitation.
Q: What’s the parking situation at the venue?
A: New Park Brewing has a private parking lot and there is free street parking. It’s an easy venue to access whether you’re driving or getting dropped off.
Q: Will there be transportation provided?
A: We will not be providing transportation, so we strongly encourage our guests to plan ahead if they intend to drink. Please consider arranging a designated driver or using Uber or Lyft, both are reliable and easy to access in the West Hartford area. Your safety means the world to us!
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: We recommend arriving 15–30 minuets earlier than the time listed on the invitation (there will be an open bar in the ceremony area).
Q: Will the ceremony and reception be at the same place?
A: Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place at New Park Brewing in West Hartford, in two indoor spaces. Just vibes and an easy flow from “I do” to dinner and dancing.
Q: Will there be food and drinks?
A: Absolutely! There will be dinner, dessert, and an open bar. Come hungry, thirsty, and ready to celebrate!
Q: What should I do after the wedding ends?
A: The party winds down just before midnight! There are plenty of bars nearby for anyone who wants to keep the party going, but we’ll be heading home to celebrate our first New Year as a married couple.
Please reach out to Tina or Bobby for any further clarification.
