As many of you know, I took a leap of faith leaving Texas to attend the University of Georgia. The first two months were extremely difficult. I was missing my home, but making friends along the way. One night in early October, I was returning to my dorm after spending all evening studying. I was exhausted, and all I wanted to do was crawl into my bed and sleep. When I reached my door, I heard some unfamiliar voices coming from the other side. I was...riled, to say the least.

As I unlocked the door, I was thinking about all the ways to politely ask my roommate to kick her friends out. And then, I saw him.

Kyle was sitting on my couch chatting with my roommate and our mutual friend, Ali. I don't know what it was, but I was instantly drawn to him. He was so goofy, and I couldn't stop smiling. We spent all night talking and laughing. And of course, he pulled out the guitar and started singing. From that moment on, I was done for.

When it was time for him to leave, we said goodbye and locked the door. I immediately asked my roommate for his number; playing it off by saying I wanted to make sure he got home safely. I sent him a message right away (I had no chill) , and he responded the next morning. We hung out again that night, and the night after that, and even the next one. We were inseparable, and I still cannot get enough!
