UPDATE: A shuttle will be provided to take guests from the hotel to the ceremony at 1:00 PM. The last shuttle will depart from the hotel at 1:20 PM. After the ceremony, shuttles will be provided to bring guests to the reception. Following the reception, shuttles will bring guests staying at the Boston Marriott Newton back to the hotel. For those who wish to drive, parking is available at the ceremony and the reception. Please see the below parking FAQ for additional details.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00pm ET. Guests are asked to arrive by 1:45pm ET to ensure sufficient time to find seats.

The wedding attire is black tie. Men should wear tuxedos. Women should wear a floor-length gown or formal cocktail dress. Guests are asked to kindly cover their shoulders while inside the church for the ceremony.

The wedding is RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those specified on your invitation.

The ceremony will take place indoors at the church. The reception venue will mainly be indoors, however the balcony will be open for those who wish to be outside. Both the church and club house have air conditioning.

In addition to the nuptial rites, we are having a full Latin mass. The vows will take place at the beginning of the ceremony and last about ten minutes, then will be followed by the mass. The Latin rite was standard in the western Catholic Church until the late 20th century. The entirety of the nuptial Mass will be in Latin, and there are many aspects of the Mass that differ from the standard Catholic mass of today. The majority of the Mass will be sung or chanted by the choir or priest in Latin.

We encourage all Catholics and non-Catholics to respectfully participate in the sitting, standing, kneeling, singing, and praying portions of the Mass. We will provide programs with the order of the Mass and reading translations to help you follow along. You can also observe the people around you to follow their lead.

According to Church teaching, only practicing Catholics in full unity with the Church, who are free from mortal sin, should receive Communion. If you do not wish to receive or are not Catholic, you may either remain seated or join the line and cross your arms over your chest to indicate that you would like to receive a blessing.

Free parking is available at both the ceremony and the reception. For the ceremony, you may park in the lot directly behind the church off Oak Street. Additional parking is available in the lot off Linden Street. Reception parking is available in the lot across the street from the country club, accessible from both Fuller Street and Commonwealth Avenue.

The RSVP card included with your invitation and the online RSVP form have a space to note any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Please contact one of us if you have any concerns.

While it is not expected, if you wish to bring a gift to the wedding, there will be a table available at the reception.

Due to the reception venue’s strict policy, guests are prohibited from bringing any outside alcohol. Additionally, no food or beverage may be removed from the reception premises.
