Philip and Christina matched on the dating app "Hinge" on Saturday August 5th, 2023.

"I remember this day clearly because I had lunch with my good friend Hallie (now a bridesmaid!). We chatted as girls do about relationships and life. As you can tell by my +1 to this lunch date, I was quite single! When I got home, I was eager to hop on the app, thinking, 'I am ready to meet someone!'" - Christina

Christina and Philip quickly bonded over their love for their dogs (Banjo and Dexter!) and discovered surprising similarities.

"I was shocked and so excited at how well our first FaceTime date went. I felt so comfortable talking to Philip, and we laughed at all of our similarities. I texted Juleanne right away after the FaceTime date and said something along the lines of, 'Wow, I just had an amazing FaceTime date!'" - Christina

"I was working the night shift, and I went out to my truck to FaceTime Christina. I thought it was funny how we were both in the marching band and played the same instrument. On our second FaceTime date, it was also crazy that Christina was going to Lake Wallenpaupack that week for a random vacation, which is the same place my Dad lives" - Philip

As you all know, Philip is an excellent photographer and he decided he wanted to take Christina to a sunflower field for a date. Unfortunately, when they got to there, all the sunflowers were dead! Instead, they had a photoshoot in the cornfield.

On Saturday August 26th Christina and Philip had a 'super-date' starting off the day at Harper's Ferry, WV with Banjo and Dexter and then meeting Eileen (Philip's sister) and John for a Nickelback concert (throwback!). It was that night Philip asked Christina to be his girlfriend and she said yes!!

Christina and Philip both enjoy outdoor activities and adventures. For their first trip together, they went to Lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania to visit Philip's Dad. Then they headed north to the Adirondacks.

"That's when I knew you were a keeper! When I accidentally flipped the jet ski in the freezing water, the first thing you did was check if I was okay!" - Philip

Philip and Christina moved to Annapolis in April. One of their favorite places to walk the dogs is Quiet Water Park!

Philip planned a kayaking date back to our first date spot, Mallows Bay. Christina was suspicious and kept a close eye on Philip. Philip told Christina to turn around and face the water, he quickly grabbed the ring, and when Christina turned around he was down on one knee! After a rush of emotions, Christina said YES!

"I wasn't nervous until I had to get the ring out of my backpack and Christina was watching me like a hawk! She would not stop looking at me! I was so happy Christina said yes and I can't wait to start our life together!" -Philip

"Philip is truly the best person I could have ever asked for. He makes me feel loved, laugh, and smile every day. He's thoughtful and caring, and his expressions and face are just the cutest! Saying "Yes" to marrying Philip was the easiest decision I've ever made. I am so excited for our relationship to continue to blossom and for the many adventures to come!" - Christina
