We met first in middle school in a 7th grade art class. We were distant friends throughout high school.. we saw each other every day at Cranston West and shared many memories in Health Occupations. We became closer friends in our early 20's while spending lots of time at the batting cages and hanging out at Sundaes.
Eventually, our friendship became a relationship in 2011. We have experienced a long-distance relationship and only spending the weekends together for several years thereafter. We moved in together, got a puppy (Max!) to add to our little family (including Johann the cat), and the rest is history.
Our engagement was perfect for us-- Kevin proposed on a weekend trip to New Hampshire, where we had planned an adventurous weekend of hiking to kick off the summer in 2019. The night we arrived, we planned to take Max for a walk at Cathedral Ledge in North Conway. We started walking on a dirt bike path-- and had to turn around because we got lost. We found the right path, and were walking around Echo Lake enjoying the sunset and the fresh air. We were happy to have been able to stretch our legs after a 4 hour trip up north. Christina walked ahead, talking about something she wanted to do that weekend without realizing Kevin was stopped on the trail. She turned around and he was on his knee waiting for a response (obviously she said YES!!!). Before she could answer though, Max took advantage of the situation and booked it for the nearby lake. It was a hilarious, perfect moment and makes for a great story!
Covid-19 has thrown a wrench into our original plans, but we are SO excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends!
