Our Wedding

After graduating from Texas A&amp;M Kingsville in 2021, Edgar found his first teaching job as an assistant band director in Zapata Tx. He soon impressed the head band director, Mr. Amado E. Martinez with his sense of humor, respectfulness, and charisma. Amado later introduced Edgar to his daughter, Christina who was still attending Texas State University at the time. About a year later, Christina graduated and came home, to good 'ol Zapata Tx. and found a job as a teacher. During a summer band camp in 2022, Christina began to find some interest in Edgar but never thought he would be interested in her. Weeks went by and she could not stop thinking of him, so she did what any millennial would; she sent Edgar a Facebook friend request. Her heart dropped when he accepted the request and quickly sent him little "Facebook wave". She waited for hours before Edgar sent a wave back, so of course, she waited a few hours before responding. Just about 3 months later, at 12:02 AM (was supposed to be at midnight but had a mishap finding the roses!) on New Years, Edgar was on his knee asking Christina to marry him.
