Our Wedding

We met when we were very young (5-6 years old!) at Light and Life Church. We spent summers together where both of our families were heavily involved in the church. Justin was two grades ahead of Christina, so we really didn't associate with each other at school. Christina moved school and church in 7th grade where her and Justin lost all contact with each other. When Christina was entering high school, she came back to Light and Life Church for a youth group. There, Justin and Christina's bond didn't flourish until he pretended to date her in order to save her from some church boys that wouldn't leave her alone. While the relationship started under false pretenses, it quickly developed into a real relationship and soon we were talking every day on the phone. We dated throughout high school despite being at different schools. Christina would attend his sports events, and Justin would attend her plays and musicals. We both ended up at ASU for college, but we went to separate campuses. When we discovered that we both wanted to pursue more school after our bachelor's degrees, we tried to apply to graduate schools in similar areas. Much to Justin's dismay, Christina ended up applying to Colorado State University's veterinary school and fell in love with the program. She begged Justin to apply to University of Denver for law school despite there being over an hour commute between the campuses. Our fates once again aligned, and we both ended up accepting positions in Colorado for our respective graduate degrees. Our relationship continued to grow in Colorado where we only had each other to begin with. We developed an awesome group of friends and somehow survived the winters in the mountains. The summer after Justin graduated from law school, he proposed to Christina in San Diego, California (one of our favorite spots in the world). From there, Christina finished her veterinary degree in May 2022. We planned our wedding to be in San Diego given our deep connection with the city and the ocean. After 10+ years together, we are so excited to finally start a life together. Look below for some picture highlights of our relationship!

Kyley and Christina have been best friends since high school and bonded over their High School Musical journey of leaving basketball for theatre. She currently works for a fact-checking company based in Washington D.C. where she keeps people informed!

Phil and Justin worked on trial team together in law school. Philip's parents are both veterinarians which made him uniquely knowledgeable about Christina's career path. He is an amazing cook and works as a personal injury attorney in Colorado.

Since her first meeting with Gabby at the age of 5 on Halloween, these two have been inseparable. She works for Native Health and makes a mean fry bread.

Justin and Chris bonded in law school over their love of cars, the gym, and accounting (jokes). Chris works as a real estate attorney in Colorado.

Christina's younger sister, a registered nurse, and cat mom! One of the only people that has known Christina longer than Justin has.

Caleb has been a dear friend to us since we started dating. Originally, he was our youth pastor and now a game-night buddy. He is always there to listen, provide excellent advice, and make a meal suitable for vegans. He currently runs his own video production company called "Top Contractor Media".

Justin and Christina are getting married at Cuvier Park with a reception to follow at the Cuvier Club in La Jolla, California. We recommend getting a ride share over to the Cuvier Club on 11/5/22 where golf carts will take you to the ceremony site. Parking is limited and street-only so please arrange accordingly.

Saturday, November 5th, 2022.Ceremony to begin at 4:30 PMReception to begin at 5:00 PM

DAY OF INSTRUCTIONS:- We recommend a ride-share over to the Cuvier Club (address above).- Golf carts will start taking guests from the Cuvier Club to the Wedding Ceremony Site (address above if anyone is running late). Golf carts will start at 3:50 PM. Please do not arrive for golf carts later than 4:15 PM as that is when the wedding party will be riding down for the ceremony to start at 4:30 PM.- Golf carts will escort you back to the Cuvier Club for a cocktail hour (outdoors). Drinks and snacks will be available at that time. Use this time to socialize and don't forget to sign our wedding book!- You will be escorted into the Cuvier Club at 6:15 for our Grand Entrance, First Dance, and dinner. - The reception will end at 10 PM.

La Jolla village is an area for those staying close to the wedding venue. This part of the city has some of the best shopping you could ever ask for - Ferrari and Lamborghini dealerships abound! There is plenty of food and activities for people who want an outdoor activity on a quiet day.

For all you animal lovers out there! San Diego Zoo is THE top ranked zoo in the world, and certainly one of the best in the United States. Located in the Balboa Park area, we would highly recommend taking a look at all the fun animals they have to offer! You may even see a few animals the Bride worked with when she went to Africa! (Did you know she worked in Africa?)

Seaport Village is a quaint, very touristy, shopping area in downtown San Diego overlooking San Diego Bay. This place has numerous good restaurants, cute small shops, and spectacular views of the bay. Be prepared to pay for parking!
