Our Wedding

Like all great modern love stories, ours began on Bumble. David’s profile said his favorite quality in a person was “genuine enthusiasm in something.” Christina, never one to pass up a golden opportunity (or a Taylor Swift reference), replied: “Does genuine enthusiasm for Taylor Swift count?” The answer, of course, was yes ("to an extent"). Christina’s profile added a twist: “Old dating traditions are out. My new tradition is first dates at Costco.” So naturally, David asked her on a Costco date—and the rest is history. From that first unconventional date,&nbsp;our lives have been filled with laughter, love, and a&nbsp;healthy appreciation for bulk snacks.&nbsp;We’re so excited to start this next chapter—and even more excited to celebrate it with all of you!

Hopping on the Metro-North Railroad from Tarrytown to Grand Central Terminal is one of the easiest ways to get into Manhattan. The journey begins at Tarrytown Station, board a Hudson Line train and enjoy a ride that hugs the eastern edge of the Hudson River. Depending on whether you're on a local or express train, the trip takes about 35 to 50 minutes, and you’ll arrive right in the heart of Midtown at the iconic Grand Central Terminal. Once there, you're steps away from landmarks like the Chrysler Building, Bryant Park, and the New York Public Library.

Take a stroll through the CIA campus, where David will be graduating in August! The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park is a food lover’s dream. Set along the Hudson River, this world-renowned culinary school offers incredible on-campus restaurants run by talented students, serving everything from classic French cuisine to farm-to-table fare. Visitors can enjoy a gourmet meal, take a campus tour, or just stroll the beautiful grounds. It’s a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine food and culinary creativity.

The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge bicycle and pedestrian path&nbsp;extends from the village of Tarrytown in Westchester County, across the Hudson River at one of its widest points, to the hamlet of South Nyack in Rockland County. The path, which is located on the northern side of the westbound span, features six scenic overlooks, interpretive displays and public art across its length. Visitor parking and amenities are available at both the Rockland and Westchester landings.

See the Hudson Valley’s top cultural attraction!&nbsp;Kykuit was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, beginning with the philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil. His business acumen made him, in his day, the richest man in America. Now a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, this extraordinary landmark has been continuously and meticulously maintained for more than 100 years.

Overlooking the Hudson River in Tarrytown, New York, is Lyndhurst, one of America’s finest Gothic Revival mansions. Designed in 1838 by Alexander Jackson Davis (1803-1892), the mansion’s architectural brilliance is complemented by its comprehensive collection of original decorative arts and the estate’s park-like landscape.

In 1835, Washington Irving (author of such classics as&nbsp;“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and “Rip Van Winkle”)&nbsp;bought a two-room Dutch stone house on the banks of&nbsp;the Hudson. He expanded and extensively remodeled&nbsp;the building, adding Tudor-style clustered chimneys,&nbsp;Dutch stepped gables, Gothic windows, and a Spanish&nbsp;tower. Irving also made the grounds more picturesque,&nbsp;planting trees in carefully chosen locations and creating&nbsp;hills, a pond, and a meandering stream with a waterfall.&nbsp;Today, both the house and grounds have been restored&nbsp;to look much as they did in the 1850s. Many of the&nbsp;original furnishings remain, while the wisteria vine Irving&nbsp;planted by the front door continues to bloom each&nbsp;spring. Winding trails throughout the estate afford&nbsp;superb vistas of the river and the landscape, and visitors&nbsp;can walk between Sunnyside and Lyndhurst via the Old&nbsp;Croton Aqueduct Trail.

West Point, home to the United States Military Academy, is a must-see destination in the Hudson Valley. Just over an hour from New York City, it offers stunning river views, historic landmarks, and a deep connection to American history.
