Is there a dress code?

We are requesting formal attire for our evening.

Where will the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception take place?

The ceremony will be at St. Thomas the Apostle church. Cocktail hour will take place at Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eaglecrest outside on the patio. If weather does not allow, the cocktail hour will move into the Terrace Room. We will be able to make a day of decision on the location of the cocktail hour. Ideally we want it to be outside so if it seems like it is a nice day please take that into consideration in case you may want to bring a light jacket. There will be a coat rack in the reception area. The reception will be in the Garden Marquee at the Marriott.

What will your wedding day timeline look like?

Ceremony is 1:30 - 2:30 pm. Cocktail hour is 5 - 6 pm. The reception is 6 - 11 pm.

Where should I park for the ceremony?

There is street parking available on Elizabeth and N. State St. Additionally there is a parking lot across the street from St. Thomas parish between High St. and E. Kingsley St, just west of Elizabeth St. There are some available handicap street parking spots on Elizabeth St. in front of the church.

What is the parking situation at the Marriott?

Day of guests have complimentary parking and parking vouchers will be available. Please make sure you grab one on your way out from the reception. The plan is for us to put a bowl of them on the card/gift table and if you forget to grab one in the reception area, vouchers will also be available at the front desk.

What should we do between the ceremony and the cocktail hour?

There is some down time between the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. During this time, we encourage guests to check out the recommendations on the Things to Do tab to find our favorite local food, drinks and sight-seeing spots. Depending upon the football game start time, we recommend not getting too close to the stadium to prevent running into any traffic. Guests can also use this time to check into the hotel. There is also a bar in the hotel lobby.

Can I bring a date or plus one?

We would love to be able to invite everyone, but due to limited space we are only able to accommodate those guests formally included on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Are children welcome?

We love your kids, but we are asking guests to refrain from bringing kids unless otherwise stated on the invitation. We are hoping this is a much deserved night off for the parents!
