Nearly a year and a half ago two people stumbled into one another's life path, never expecting much to come out of it given they lived 3,500 miles apart.What won Ty over was a text that read "you know, we have hockey down here, jus' sayin'..." and what won Christina over was Ty's message saying what he was looking for was a loving marriage like the one his parents had.The distance which at first seemed a hindrance proved to be the proving ground of our commitment to one another. Over the months we shared happy times, and the most tragic experience my family has ever endured: the sudden passing of my niece's young, beloved husband.Monthly trips and daily calls, falling in love not just with one another but also with each other's families, all led us to the realization that we never wanted to be parted, and in January at the beautiful Alyeska ski resort, Ty asked me to be his wife!As fate would have it a small Catholic chapel within walking distance of Alyeska was where we chose to celebrate our marriage on June 15, 2022 with those close family members who could make the trip and a handful of close friends.We hope you can join us to celebrate our love and joy on August 13th!
