Our story began online when Christina told Kyle that she had always wanted to learn cribbage. That opened the door for the two to begin talking until they finally met up one chilly night at Northstar Tavern in Bloomington, MN. Kyle wore a vest (for the first and last time ever) and Christina made sure to tell her friend that he was wearing a vest when she saw him walk in. Despite the vest, they cozied up to the bar and talked for hours, drinking Old Fashioneds and Bulleit Bourbon, eventually shutting down the bar.
Since then, they have sought to find the best chicken wings in the Twin Cities, the best cocktail bars, and their favorite restaurants. One of their favorite things is getting both Kyle and Christina’s families together down in Okoboji (where Kyle proposed) for a weekend of boating, yard games, and watching their dog Phoenix try to learn to swim! Kyle knew that Okoboji held a special place in Christina’s heart so he always wanted to propose there. Luckily, over the Fourth of July, Kyle’s family was able to spend the weekend at the lake, giving Kyle the perfect moment for both families to be a part of their special day.
Over the last three years, Kyle and Christina have grown together, both sharing their beloved interests with each other. Kyle has shared his love of sports, specifically the Tennessee Titans (Titan Up!), and Christina sharing her love of cooking, making cocktails, and reality television.
