What time should I leave for the ceremony?

Because there is only one main road in Kauai, it is recommended that you leave the hotel by 3:30pm at the latest to arrive at Hanalei Bay by 4:30pm. Beach entry is at the end of Anae Rd. There is a parking lot there, but keep in mind that during the summer months it is likely to be full. You will need to find parking near this area and arrive to the ceremony location by 4:40pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm.

Is the reception inside or outside?

We have reserved an indoor private room for our venue at Hukilau Lanai.

What will the weather be like?

In the summer months, Kauai has tropical temperatures ranging from the low 70's to high 80's with a high heat index. It's important to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.

What if it rains?

Well that means Hawaiian rainbows of course, and we will consider it good luck! Thankfully, however, our wedding coordinator always has umbrellas on hand for guests in case of rain.

What should I pack?

We have planned out an itinerary, and made a list of things to do, which should help with planning out your outfits. Some extra things to pack would be hiking sandals or sneakers, swimsuits, quick drying shorts and/or rash guards, sunglasses/hats, snorkel gear if you prefer to use your own, reef safe sunscreen (no sprays) and natural local insect repellent. Of course, don't forget your camera, the views on this trip will be breathtaking!

Is there a nearby convenience store?

Yes! Hawaii is known for their ABC convenience store chain, and there is one half a mile from Sheraton Coconut Beach Resort. There is also a Starbucks next door! Address: 4-831 Kuhio Hwy Kapaa, HI 96746 Phone: (808) 822-2115
