AIR: The closest airports to the Banjo Ranch are the Billings-Logan International airport and the Bozeman Yellowstone airport. CAR: The Banjo Ranch is approximately one hour from Billings and two hours from Bozeman by car. There will be many guests traveling from both locations; we recommend carpooling!

CAMPING ON SITE

The 32 acre Banjo Ranch property boasts ample space for guests to camp on site for the weekend. Bring your trailer, camper, van, or tent and make yourselves at home. Restrooms available for use.

Absarokee is a rural Montana community that offers stunning Airbnb &amp; VRBO options. We recommend booking these accommodations as soon as possible for the best options in close proximity to the Banjo Ranch.

HOTELS

Hotels, motels, and additional lodging can be found in the towns of Absarokee (10 minutes from Banjo Ranch), Columbus (25 minutes from Banjo Ranch), and Red Lodge (30 minutes from Banjo Ranch). We recommend booking these accommodations as soon as possible as the limited lodging in these small towns book up quickly.

Accommodations

HIKING: The East Rosebud Trail, also known as the "Beaten Path" is an iconic Montana jewel that starts at East Rosebud Lake, just 40 minutes from the Banjo Ranch. Hike the 3 miles up to Elk Lake to stretch the legs and revel in Montana's stunning natural landscape. FISHING: Guests are welcome to fish along the East Rosebud Creek on the Banjo Ranch property. There are a handful of trails that parallel the creek and offer a classic Montana fly fishing experience. There is additional fishing access in the upper reaches of the East &amp; West Rosebud Creek that run through Custer National Forest. On West Rosebud Creek there is good access between the Emerald Lake and Pine Grove campgrounds. The Mountain section of East Rosebud Creek flows through Forest Service land and has a road paralleling the creek. The 3-mile stretch from Jimmy Joe to East Rosebud Lake campgrounds provides the best access. Park along the road, and fish wherever it looks good. SCENIC DRIVING: Named "the most beautiful roadway in America", the Beartooth Highway climbs to an astounding 10,974 feet above sea level. The route features breathtaking views of the Absaroka and Beartooth Mountains, and open, high alpine plateaus dotted with countless glacial lakes, forested valleys, waterfalls and wildlife. Stop in the charming town of Red Lodge before or after your scenic drive and experience the downtown shops, restaurants, and breweries.
