I had noticed Liam our junior year at Mid-East, but nothing happened that year. Flash forward to senior year, I was still crushing VERY hard. I remember I sat in front of him in our first period math class. I was always looking back at him, which apparently was very obvious. I later found out that Liam thought I was silently judging him, which could not have been further from the truth. One day, I noticed he wasn’t in class for a few days. Our teacher asked about him, and if anyone knew if he was okay. A classmate said he’d been in an accident, and my heart dropped. I finally worked up the courage to follow him on Instagram (he followed me back in about two seconds). I texted him and asked if he was alright, because I heard about the accident and I was very worried. He told me he was okay (thank god), and we left the conversation at that. I didn’t text him for a couple days, hoping maybe he’d start another conversation. Finally one night, I got a message from him asking how my day was. Me being clueless I said it was okay and asked how his was. He said “it would be good if I could get your Snapchat”. As soon as he said that I could not stop smiling. He asked me on a date to my favorite restaurant, which we had planned on New Year’s Eve. I was so nervous i tore apart my entire closet looking for an outfit, I later found out he was just as nervous. He told me he spent hours washing and detailing his truck. My mom almost didn’t let me go on the date because she was worried about the drivers on the road due to it being New Year’s Eve. I am so thankful I somehow convinced her to let me go. It took a lot of begging. The date was the best night of my entire life. I could immediately tell how kind and genuine of a person Liam was. Soon after we went back to school after winter break, he asked me to be his girlfriend officially. He had picked me up for school and he slipped me a little note asking me. He remembered I said how much I loved handwritten notes. I obviously said yes. We spent the rest of high school wrapped around each other’s fingers, and we graduated high school together. We moved out on our own July after our senior year, and we’ve been living together ever since. August 30th 2023 he asked me to be his wife. I had known I was going to marry this man from the start of our first date. Getting to know Liam, making memories and laughing together has been the biggest blessing of my entire life. I never believed in the whole love at first sight thing until I saw Liam. I am so beyond happy to be marrying my best friend and the man of my dreams.
