Lucas and Chrissy connected through a dating app when Lucas was stationed in Hawaii and Chrissy was just living there. Their first date was to Electric Beach for sunset on September 6, 2020 (recognize that date?). Since then, they have been inseparable. Lucas got dragged to tons of parties and social gatherings where he was quickly accepted as part of the family.

Sadly, Lucas got deployed 2 months later. However, before leaving, he made things official. For the first 6 months of being formally dating, the couple called, texted , and video chatted every day for hours on end. Little did they know, they had both already fallen deeply in love with one another. It was not until Lucas came home that those three little words were finally said.

Together they spent several holidays, got a dog, started a family and fell in love more and more each day. When Lucas was getting out of the Marines, they decided to move to Colorado to raise their family. On their last day in Hawaii, they spent it with Chrissy's family, saying their goodbyes. Lucas, of course, wanted to go watch one last Hawaii sunset before they left the next morning.

He took Chrissy to Electric Beach where he told her that he wanted to get a picture together. As Chrissy was trying to get the phone to take a picture, Lucas got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Now here they are , four years later to the day, getting married with their closet friends and family there to celebrate with them!
