We met our Sophomore year of college at Virginia Tech through mutual friends. Christine impressed Roy with her beer pong skills and beer pong championship title. He got her number from her friend Courtney and despite her picking a terrible movie for their first date he asked her out again.

6.5 years, 3 bachelor degrees (1 for Roy and 2 for Christine), numerous Hokie football games, a semester abroad, a few vacations (Disney, Jamaica, Boston, Cleveland, Tennessee, the beach, plus many more) lots of travelling back and forth between Staunton and Springfield before finally both moving to Richmond, and a few threatening phone calls from Christine's cousins later, we went back to where is all began. Roy got down on one knee in the middle of the Drillfield at Virginia Tech and asked Christine to marry her.

Christine just graduated from nursing school in December 2015 and is enjoying working as a bedside nurse in Richmond. She also loves all things Virginia Tech, her family, Thanksgiving, hiking, and visiting breweries and wineries.

A Hokie fan since birth, Roy graduated from Tech with a degree in Building Construction. Since then he has worked in both Staunton and now Richmond. He is a huge fan of the Hokies, the Washington Redskins, and the Cleveland Indians. He also enjoys a good glass of beer or whiskey.
