Welcome to our wedding website! We look forward to celebrating our special time with you on our new date in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. This site will provide everything you need to plan and attend our wedding, including information about the resort, travel logistics, and planned events. Thank you for your love and patience. Our Wedding

How We Met

In summer 2016, Christine took a road trip to Nashville with her two friends, Margaret and Laura.&nbsp;That first night in Nashville, Christine spotted Ben across the Honky Tonk Central (which happens to be their new favorite bar!), and they started talking. Many bars and hours later, it was obvious something clicked. The next day, he met up with the girls once again and took Christine on a horse and carriage ride. Ben flew up to Minneapolis two weeks later, and that kicked off a spree of weekend getaways to see each other: Boston, Kansas City, Atlanta, Chicago, more trips to Nashville and Minneapolis, and even to Europe when Ben's unit deployed to Kosovo.&nbsp; In Spring 2018, Christine moved to Nashville, and it has been a fun, nonstop adventure since!

The Proposal

On Labor Day weekend, Christine's sister, Katie, and Jordan were in town and made plans to go to Broadway. While there, they&nbsp;coincidentally&nbsp;went on a horse and carriage ride and walked around the riverfront to take pictures. That's when Ben got on one knee and pointed to a bar rooftop where family and friends, who came from across the country, were holding signs "Will you Marry Me?" It was too perfect!

The ceremony, reception and wedding events will all take place at the Ocean Riviera Paradise All-Inclusive Resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.&nbsp; This resort has everything! 10 restaurants, 5 pools, 11 bars, theater, bowling alley, waterpark, daily events and even a casino. There is something fun for everyone!

Our block of rooms offer 2 options for travel dates: ~5 Days/4 Nights:&nbsp;Thursday, November 4- Monday, November 8, 2021&nbsp; ~7 Day/ 6 Nights:&nbsp;Tuesday, November 2, 2021- Monday, November 8, 2021&nbsp;​​*Price includes all meals, beverages and resort amenities.

Flights

Ocean Riviera Paradise is approximately 30 minutes away from the Cancun (CUN) airport. Please note that In Any Event Travel will not be making air reservations for our group. Set up your flight tracker on <a href="https://www.google.com/travel/flights" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Google Flights</a> to track down the best rate!

Transportation to Resort

When your plane lands in Mexico, a shuttle will be waiting to bring you to paradise! Prior to your travel, please inform our group's travel agent, Chris, of any changes in your air reservations. Should you have any last minute schedule changes or delays, email, call or message Chris on our <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/ChristineandBen" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Wedding Facebook Group</a>, so she can inform the ground transportation company. When you arrive:Once you pass customs, proceed outside the baggage claim area of the airport to where shuttle services are. The Amstar representatives will be wearing the bright blue/tropical shirts and have a sign that says Funjet Vacations. They will assign you to a shuttle and bring you to the resort!

Reminders

As you prepare to leave for Mexico, please make sure you have the following forms to make your travel days seamless and easy! ● Remember your passport and COVID vaccine card!● To expedite your trip back to the United States, please print and fill out <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/pdf/attachment-a-global-passenger-disclosure-attestation-2021-p.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">this COVID reentry form</a>.● To expedite processing at the Cancun airport, print and fill out<a href="https://www.mexicotouristcard.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> this Mexican Tourist Card</a>.● To expedite processing at the Cancun airport, pay the $10/person tax recently implemented by the province of Quintana Roo at <a href="https://www.visitax.gob.mx//sitio/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">this website</a>.● Print and bring your reservation received from the travel agent, Chris Terry. You will be all set!

Packing Suggestions

Transportation Upon Arrival

Upon arrival, you will go through the Customs line and then head past Baggage Claim and outside of the airport to where shuttle services are. Returning Home- COVID Testing

Prior to returning to the United States, you will need to show a negative COVID test. This test is available right on-site at the resort for $35. Testing is located in Ballroom "Paradise 2" between 9:00AM-1:00PM daily. Guests will need to make an appointment with the Guest Service Department. You will need to bring your passport to this appointment. Vaccinated travelers are able to be tested up to 3 days prior to travel and those not fully vaccinated may be tested within 1 day of travel. The hotel will be able to assist with these testing requirements to make sure we have everything needed.
