Joey and Christine attended the University of Dayton and met at the end of their sophomore year before studying abroad together that summer in Rome, Italy. They traveled all of Italy, ate pounds of pasta, and somewhat studied, but were still just acquaintances.

When they came back to Dayton for their junior year, they ended up hanging out more through mutual friends and became very close. This continued through their senior year until the very last day of college (Dayton2Daytona) where Joey finally decided to ask Christine to be his girlfriend!

Joey and Christine have been together since May 2015 and currently live in Covington, KY with their goldendoodle puppy Scoochie.
