Christine & Elliot

October 1, 2022 • Jericho, VT

Elliot and Christine started dating in early 2016 while they were both working at Target (bet you didn’t know that you really can get anything there!) and going to school. After the first six months, Christine was working in Staten Island and Elliot was continuing to work and go to school around Trenton NJ. Even with their busy schedules on opposite sides of the state, they always made time for each other. After nearly a year together, Elliot got accepted into Stevens Institute of Technology, Christine got a job as an accountant, and they moved into their first apartment together.

As their time together lengthened, Elliot and Christine learned about each other’s likes and dislikes, habits, and strengths. Their little one-bedroom apartment truly became a home in which their relationship began to grow and flourish. They continued to learn about each other, and they cherished their time together (even when it seemed like not much time at all).

In July 2020, Elliot and Christine went on a vacation to the Outer Banks with many members of Christine’s family. Elliot bought Christine’s chosen ring, and was anxiously anticipating proposing. Elliot could not wait more than a couple hours after arriving before dragging Christine down to the beach, finding a secluded spot, and popping the question. Of course, she said YES!! Elliot then spent the rest of the vacation telling friends, family, and complete strangers (to the mild exasperation of Christine) that they were now happily engaged!

As Elliot graduated and began working from home full-time, and Christine continued to work remotely, it became clear that they needed a lifestyle change. They stopped renting, bought a house, and have now begun the arduous journey of home ownership together, a task that has only brought them closer together. They now feel that they are building a nest for their years to come, and are making decisions that best reflect their shared visions for the future, both near and far. They both look forward to many happy years to come.
