When/Where is the Indian Ceremony?
The Indian Ceremony will be held at 9:00am at Persaud Family Home located at 1010 Salsona Ave, Kissimmee, FL 34744.
When/Where is the American Ceremony/Reception
The American Ceremony and Reception will be held at 5:00pm at The Manor on Lake Juliana located at 585 FL-559, Auburndale, FL 33823.
What is the dress code?
American Ceremony: Dressy Casual or Semi-Formal
Indian Ceremony: Indian attire encouraged but not required
-Females Indian Attire Examples:
--Sari: Top with a long cloth wrapped around to form the skirt then wrapped around shoulders (can be difficult to wrap properly, youtube tutorials help)
--Lehenga: Top and skirt with small cloth to use for head or like scarf (be aware it can show midriff)
--Salwar Kameez: Long shirt to mid thigh or mid calf with pants/leggings
--Avoid the colors red, which is for the bride, and white/black, which are mourning colors
-Male Indian Attire:
--Kurta with long pants
--Dress shirt and dress pants (usually lighter colors)
You can find clothing at local Indian shops or Amazon has plenty also
Is there a hotel near the wedding venue?
We understand that most people will be partaking in all the fun things Orlando has to offer and may prefer a hotel closer to all the attractions for their stay. The Indian Ceremony in the morning is in Kissimmee (closer to Orlando), however the American ceremony is in Auburndale, which can be 2 hours from Orlando. If you do not want to drive far after the wedding, we recommend staying at the Holiday Inn & Suites Orlando South-Davenport. It is on Interstate 4 just 15 minutes north of the American Ceremony venue.
Is there a block of rooms or guest code for the hotel?
We do not have a block of rooms reserved or a guest code at this time, as most people will be staying closer to the Central Florida attractions and only use the hotel the night of the wedding.
What is the Vegetarian Reception Meal?
Salad, dinner rolls, red bliss potatoes, and grilled vegetables with a balsamic glaze
Is there a kids meal?
Yes, children ages 3-10 are served a child friendly meal, such as chicken fingers and chips.
Will there be alcohol served?
There will be an open wine and beer bar for guests over the age of 21. Given the amount of children and non-alcohol guests attending, we have opted for a non-alcoholic toast.
