Our story began as a friendship. We first met in high school when we were both freshmen. By junior and senior year of high school we were in several classes together and regularly spending time in the same circle of friends.

After high school graduation, we both started our undergraduate degrees at the University of Connecticut - Storrs. As if the universe was trying to tell us something, but we were not yet aware, we were placed in the same campus dorms, Hilltop. We were both in relationships with other people during college and we remained good friends.

We soon went our separate ways. Christine moved to Boston for work. Steven began his Masters degree at UConn. By 2003, our story seemed to have come to an end.

Fast forward to 2016, almost 20 years after first meeting in high school. We both found ourselves single and back in our small town. We met up for brunch one Sunday morning in town to catch up and the rest is history.

Steven proposed on May 15, 2022, at our home in Naugatuck in a place that has special meaning to Christine and her father, who passed away in 2016.

We both knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and we are so excited to share our wedding with all of our favorite people.
