They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. That could not be more true than the story of Mike and Christine.
In the summer of 2017, Christine was working at Moe's and Mike came in for lunch. Shoutout to groomsman Tim for picking this spot that day. Christine made Mike's burrito while Mike made moves.
Over the past 7 years, they have been together through many highs and lows. Within a year of meeting each other, they sadly lost John and Patricia, Mike's parents. Before they passed, they gave their blessing to what they hoped would be theirs son's future marriage with Christine. In August 2017, Mike joined the police academy. As a long distance couple, they saw each other at every opportunity they had until he graduated in March 2018. In 2019 Christine decided to make a career switch from food service to the financial industry. Mike was by her side and supported her while she made that switch. They had more reasons to celebrate in March 2021 when Mike made it onto the Cleveland Police SWAT team. In October 2022, they faced more challenges together with Mike being diagnosed with cancer. They continue to lean on each other for support until 2027 when he will be officially in remission.
When Christine was a little girl, she always said "My future man better have yellow roses when he proposes, or I am not saying yes." On January 1st 2023, as the clock struck midnight, Christine was handed a dozen yellow roses. She turned around to see if it was real. Mike was there on one knee, surrounded by their friends, and she said yes!
