After many years on their own adventures Scott and Christine reconnected in California in 2019. For those who do not know, Scott and Christine went to middle school and high school together in Clearwater, FL. As 'fringe friends' we had classes together, played indoor soccer against each other, attended the same social events in high school, but always with our overlapping friend groups. We parted ways after high school, with Christine moving to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota (Ski-U-Mah), play some volleyball, earn a few degrees, and begin her professional career, and with Scott moving to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida (Go Gators), earn a few degrees, and begin his professional career.

We reconnected when Scott moved from Gainesville to San Diego in 2017 and Christine moved from Sacramento to San Diego in 2019. As dog owners and craft beer enthusiasts it was no surprise that Scott's friends quickly adopted Christine into the friend group, spending many Friday evenings hanging out at 'Yappy Hour' in the Amici Dog Park in Little Italy.

Several months later, Scott invited Christine to join him on a fishing and camping trip---only as friends! Over a few beers and a few tight lines, we got to spend some quality one-on-one time with each other, and a week later we went on our first date.

We moved in together in the Fall of 2021, and we spent the next year and a half making countless memories in our North Park bungalow. From barbecues with friends in our lemon-tree studded backyard, to tennis at Balboa Park Tennis Club, to beach days at Fiesta Island and Ocean Beach, to camping and fishing trips in the Cuyamaca mountains and Sierra Nevada mountains, and of course trying every brewery and foodie-spot we could get to along the way!

Scott proposed to Christine in December 2022 in Bird Park, a pocket park overlooking Balboa Park and the San Diego skyline. She said Yes, and we celebrated with an engagement moon trip with the dogs up the California coast to Santa Barbara for Christmas.

A month later in February 2023, we announced that we would be moving abroad to Switzerland with a plan to spend the next two years in Zürich. And here we are, loving life, making memories, and of course planning a wedding in Florida from overseas!
