We met in December 2017 at the local spot...Slades. I was celebrating my first holiday break as a teacher and he was just grabbing dinner and trying to watch the Celtics. It was a "Throwback Thursday" or a "grown folks" night. The place was packed with schoolteachers celebrating like me. I was there with my brother and his girlfriend but there were several other folks around that I also knew. My friend LS showed up and sat at the bar. I randomly popped in on him from time to time as I made my way around the bar. At one point, probably because I was messing up his "G" to some girls on his left, LS suggest I go dance with his "boy." I looked at his "boy" and on the dance floor we went. After HOURS of dancing and chitchatting I asked Greg, "How long have you known LS?" Greg answers, "Who?" Turns out he had no idea who LS was and actually originally thought I was "with" LS. We had a good laugh about that and danced until the house lights came up. (LS we STILL owe you some Slades chicken!)

Fast forward to Valentine's Day Weekend 2018.....at this point we had been nearly inseparable and really enjoying each others' company. I found a cool event at a cigar bar in Springfield, MA. Neither of us smoke but it seemed like fun. We had a GREAT time! We discovered several things that night: (1) Springfield has HORRIBLE cell service, (2) Moscow mules are pretty tasty and (3) I thought Greg was a little crazy because he told me that he was going to marry me one day. Looking back, I guess he wasn't all that crazy.
