Our story began with each of us searching for a serious life-long partner through online dating. This avenue was the most conducive to our social anxieties. We first met in-person during one of Roberta’s Starbucks shifts. I got the impression during this meeting that she was very sweet and Roberta felt I was very awkward. We were both right. Over the next few weeks, we went on many dates and connected so deeply, so quickly, on both a social and emotional level. Just one month after discovering one another, I asked her to make this an official relationship as I knew we truly had something special. She was onboard. As time went on, we shared many wonderful life experiences, traveled extensively and became thoroughly intertwined in each other’s lives. Life before we met each other started to become more and more distant; and a future without one another seemed unimaginable. We fell in love, helped each other grow as people and professionals, and became best friends in the process. I have never been more certain of anything in my life as I am that Roberta is the one for me for eternity. So I made it official by planning an engagement event in our most special place, Cape May. It was the perfect location to demonstrate our love and commitment to one another. I arranged for all of our closest family members to witness the proposal and celebrate with us. On December 10, 2022, I proposed and Roberta gave a resounding yes. We both felt a sense of relief and overwhelming excitement that we were one massive step closer to beginning our life together. We adore each other and we look forward to making our special bond official through the sacrament of matrimony in the presence of our family and friends on Sunday, July 13, 2025. I love you, Bear.
