Back in 2021, Chris was out with his cousin, Allie, when he ran into his friend Angelica at iPlay America. They hadn't seen each other in a while, due to the pandemic stuff, so they spent the night catching up. One drink led to another, and another, and another, and to no one's surpirse except, of course, Chris, the bartender cut him off. Needless to say, Angelica's husband Mike gave Chris and Allie a ride home. As they were saying goodbye, Angelica invited Chris out for her birthday dinner in a few weeks.

A few weeks passed by and Chris wasn't planning on going to Angelica's birthday dinner because he just wasn't in the mood to go out, (some friend he is) but last minute decided that he would go. Out at dinner, Angelica's friend Ana was talking to Chris and told him about this "PERFECT GUY" for him. She pulled up his Instagram on Chris' phone and asked if she could DM Dean from Chris' phone. Chris was feeling a little tipsy, maybe more than just a little (no surprise there), and gave Ana the go ahead, "Send whatever you want, he's cute." Ana spent the next hour messaging back and forth with Dean, pretending to be Chris. Eventually, Chris got his phone back and sent some messages of his own.

Fast forward to the next morning......

Chris started reading through all of the messages and thought to himself, "Why would Ana type like this? I would NEVER say that, I would NEVER say this!" Then he got down to his messages and thought, "I should have just left it at Ana's messages." After coming clean to Dean about what was from him and what was from her, Chris asked Dean on a date and as they say, "The rest is history!"

After a quick two years together, Chris and Dean had been consistently talking about getting engaged. The constant back and forth about who would propose to who was fun for a while, but got annoying to say the least. So, Chris jumped the gun and went to a jeweler for a ring! Getting the ring was the easy part, figuring out how to propose was the challenge.

Chris spent weeks thinking of different ways to do it and was toying with the idea of going away for a weekend or something of the sort. Then one late night drinking (are we seeing the pattern here yet? lol) with Joe Serry, it finally hit him, EPCOT.

During their first year of dating, Chris and Dean went to Universal and Disney with Chris' brother and had the best time at EPCOT! They both love food and wine, so what better way to vacation then to spend time in EPCOT during the Food & Wine Festival?! It was a great trip and is now a special place for the two of them. Since they have such fun memories there, Chris decided there would be no better place to pop the question. (Other than in actual Italy, of course.) Dean and Chris always liked the idea of an Italian wedding, so proposing in the Italian Pavilion at EPCOT was "PERFETTO!" *insert chef's kiss*

Chris got some of their closest family and friends together, took the trip to Disney, and got down on one knee. In true Florida fashion, it was pouring, but the rain held out until just after Dean said, "YES!"
