Our Story
A year down south
2 years later, Emily was still in the UK. She took a year out to get her Masters at Southampton University. Chris moved to Southampton with her to work on the Isle of Wight.
First Meeting
We met working for Vestas, a Danish wind energy company. Emily was over in the UK for just 1 year, to explore London....
Brief spell in Houston
Chris and Emily moved to Houston, for an unfortunately brief period.
Then back to London
Then we moved back to Putney, west London, where we first met.
Bletchley Park
Then on December 21st we got engaged (!!!) on a trip to Bletchley Park, home of the WWII code breakers.
Wedding of the Year Explained
Ok whats going on here isn't he/she foreign?
In short yes, Chris is English and Emily is American. We thought about it, and we both really wanted to celebrate with all our friends and family. However there seemed to be a tiny problem.... the Atlantic, so with our clever engineer brains we came up with a cunning plan - 2 weddings! (Well 1 wedding and a reception in the UK) Having produced the budget spreadsheet we're not sure how cunning it actually is, but it's sure going to be fun.
We would absolutely love you all to attend both receptions, but if that isn't possible hopefully you'll be able to make one in the appropriate country (or inappropriate country - we would love that too!).
