Chris and Melissa met through friends when out to eat as a group in early 2021. With the only chair being left open was next to Chris, Melissa had no choice to but to sit next to him and begin conversation.

Depending on who you ask, there are different views on how that first meeting went. Chris attempted to help Melissa with what to get off the menu, to which Melissa shot down every suggestion, so says Chris. Melissa thought Chris didn’t like her as she noted that he wasn’t talking much to her after ordering food, so says Melissa.

However after months of talking, spending more time with one other, and by mid year, just a week before Melissa moved to Chicago, Chris and Melissa made their relationship status official.

After driving to see each other at least once a month back and forth between Chicago and Saint Joseph for a year, Melissa moved back to Michigan and in with Chris in Saint Joseph.

On July 20, 2024, while out celebrating their 2 year anniversary, Chris proposed to Melissa. The rest is history!

The couple are very excited to celebrate their love with family and friends!
