HOW DID CHRIS & JESSIE MEET?

Chris & Jessie were introduced by their mutual friend, Jeri Otten at Sahara's sand volleyball league. Jeri told Jessie that she had the perfect guy in mind for her. Jessie of course went along with it and asked to see a photo. After seeing a photo of Chris, she agreed to meet him. That next week, Chris & Grant (Jeri's husband & Chris's high school best friend) came to the sand volleyball game to meet Jessie. Long story short, everyone else left after the game but Chris & Jessie hit it off and stayed at Sahara's until midnight talking.

They had supper for the first time together at El Tapatio and ended the night playing pool at his parent's house.

They traveled together with Jessie's family to Florida. While in Florida, they went to Universal Studios, Clearwater Beach, and swam at the resort.

DID CHRIS ASK JESSIE'S FATHER BEFORE HE PROPOSED?

Yes, Chris asked Jessie's father during harvest. Jessie and her brother were moving equipment while Chris stayed on the farm with Gary (Jessie's Father). Chris said he had something to show Gary. Of course, Gary got excited that Chris would show him a big buck on his trail camera. Chris always likes to show Gary some trail camera photos when he comes to Loup City. Chris said, "It is a little bit more serious." Chris showed Gary a picture of the ring he had bought and asked permission to marry his daughter.

HOW DID CHRIS PROPOSE TO JESSIE?

Chris proposed to Jessie at Cocoa Beach in Florida. He asked Jessie to go for a walk along the shoreline and once they were far enough away from everyone, he distracted her for a second. When she turned back around, he was on one knee and asked her to marry him.
