We joke about it now, but it's all luck (with a little help from Melanie's mom & her MOH, Katie) that Melanie & Chris got together.

It started in 2019, when Chris showed up late to his AJGA internship training in Braselton, GA. Melanie was working there full-time and was in charge of teaching the interns how to rules officiate. When it came time for her to teach Chris, she got in his golf cart, put her feet up on the case of water and said 'So you're the golf guy, I'm sure you know what you're doing. You can drop me off right here' and proceeded to leave the cart and him un-trained.

They would end up working a few more tournaments together, one in which Melanie's parents volunteered. Being stressed from her boss assisting her all week, Melanie hadn't noticed anything or anyone. However, her mother told her she was pretty sure one of the boys had a crush on her. As much as she hates to admit it, this made Melanie think especially when she got home and her roommate Katie mentions something along the same lines.

One final tournament together pushes Chris to add Melanie on snapchat where the rest becomes history. They get to know eachother, grow serious feelings, Chris gets hired full-time, moves to Atlanta and they officially start dating January 10th, 2020.

Through COVID, new jobs, moving in togther and a million other small pieces of life, Melanie & Chris get engaged on March 3rd, 2023, which is a whole other funny story.

Now they look forward to getting to celebrate their marriage with family & friends on October 19th, 2024!
