Our Wedding

Although their crushes on each other started when they first met back in 2008, Chris and Tori's love story began in 2023 over a plate of wings and cold beers. After high school, going to college and the start of their new grad lives took them to different states. Ultimately, they both settled back in their hometown, and coincidentally they were going to the same gym. On a Friday night after a few weeks of "running into each other" at the gym ( or changing the times they would go in order to get a few minutes to talk to each other), Tori asked Chris if he wanted to meet her afterwards at Handshakes for her favorite plate of wings. They met at a corner booth upstairs, and their connection was so immediate and familiar, it felt like their hundredth date instead of their first. As they continued to talk, the hours passed like minutes and the next thing they knew, the bar was closing down. Reluctantly, they gathered their things and Chris walked Tori to her car and said goodnight. However, she was only a few minutes down the road when he called to tell her that he wasn't ready to stop talking to her, and asked if she'd meet him for a late night milkshake. After that night, the two became inseparable. In the following months Chris and Tori moved in together, accompanied each other to numerous weddings, snowboarded all over Vermont and Colorado, golfed around the Hudson Valley and Adirondacks, and of course there have been many more gym sessions. They like to plan birthday weekends for each other, whether it's a long weekend away or a party, but Tori's birthday of 2024 was the most memorable. In June 2024, Chris planned a surprise weekend getaway for Tori's birthday. He helped her pack a bag, only giving away tiny details of the trip. He didn't tell her their destination until they were in the car the day of. They went to Lake George, one of their favorite places! On Saturday, June 22nd, they golfed at The Sagamore, the most beautiful and well maintained course they'd ever been to. Afterwards, they had an early dinner at the Sagamore's incredible steak house, where Chris ate a 36 oz "porterhouse for two" by himself. Full and happy, they went back to their AirBnB. As Tori walked through the door she saw candles and rose petals guiding the way up the spiral staircase. As she followed, she was met with a beautiful proposal. The sight of Chris on one knee, brought her to her knees. It was the easiest "Yes" she has ever said. Well, as easy as you can say yes through the happiest tears you've ever cried! The love Chris and Tori have for each other continues to grow everyday. They have had so much fun experiencing life together, having adventures, and planning their future. They cannot wait to celebrate their biggest adventure yet on October 24th, 2025, with all the people they love most!
