We grew up in the same city (different high schools), but never knew each other back then because Matt graduated from college when Christy graduated from high school!

Flash forward to the Fall of 2019, Christy was living near downtown Columbus with her roommates and Matt had just moved in with his brother nearby. Matt's brother, Jack, happened to be best friends with Christy's roommate and would come over to hangout. One of those times, Jack brought Matt over. The first couple meetings were pretty uneventful, but Matt kept tagging along. It wasn't until March 2020 that Matt finally asked Christy to dinner (It was at El Vaquero, a fine establishment).

Our first date was on Friday, 3/13/2020. Two days later, COVID shut everything down. 2 years later we bought a house together. And 1 year after that, Matt popped the question!
