Like all great modern love stories, Chuck and I met on a dating app! We matched during "the freeze" in 2021, exchanged a few messages, and then things fizzled out. A month later, Chuck reached out to me again and apologized for not responding -- he had been in the shower for the last month. Normally, I wouldn't have responded but his excuse was pretty funny so I took the bait.

We had our first date at Tongue Cut Sparrow and immediately bonded over our love of travel, our almost identical cats Tata & Jamie, and the fact that we both had the same sarcastic sense of humor. Despite the fact that he told me "Shaggy at Hangout fest" was the best concert he had ever been to, I agreed to go out with him again.

A month later we made things "official". We would spend Sundays at our favorite French bakery, went on picnics together, and had movie nights in the living room. I made Chuck binge all my favorite TV series and he made me drive his golf cart around. We also took our first trips to Tulum, Mexico City and many many weddings.

We tried to take an overseas trip many times while we were dating (thanks Covid) but weren't able to make it happen until our 2 year anniversary. We decided to do a 10 day European trip to celebrate and Chuck popped the question on the first day we were in Paris (my favorite city) while we were sharing a bottle of wine under the Eiffel tower. It was perfect and intimate and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives traveling the world together!
