For those travelling from Ireland, you can find the best air routes below:

Shannon- Rome Ciampino

For those looking to fly from Shannon, Ryanair has released a flight to Rome Ciampino airport. This flies on the 1st of August at 11:55am.

Shannon- Naples:

From Shannon, you can also fly into Naples and take a 1 hour train from Naples to Rome. Once pre booked, the price can be as low as €20. This flight goes with Ryanair on the 1st of August at 17:20pm.

Dublin- Rome:

For those whole would like to fly from Dublin, this flight goes everyday with both Ryanair and Aer Lingus. These flights are already available to book with both Ryanair and Aer Lingus.

From the Airport

If there are a number of people arriving on the same flight, we will book a mini-bus / coach to collect you. Otherwise, have the address of the venue handy to show to a Taxi driver or to book anUber. Prices may vary, but expect to pay approximately €50-€70.

Travel from Rome City

For those of you who will already be in Rome before the wedding, you can take a train from the main train station in Rome City, 'Rome Termini', in the direction of 'Civitavecchia' (leaves every hour). A ticket costs approx. 4 Euro. Get off at Torre In Pietra-palidoro, 00054 Palidoro RM, Italy. Once in Palidoro' you will need a taxi to take you to the venue.

Alternatively, you can catch a Taxi or Uber to the venue. Ensure you have the address of the venue handy to show to a Taxi driver as they may not have heard of the venue, or book over Uber. Prices may vary, but expect to pay approximately €50-€80.

If there are a number of people in Rome at the same time who are planning on travelling to the Borgo together, please let us know and we can try arrange a mini-bus / coach to collect you

Onward / Return Journey

For those needing transport back to Rome City on Thurs 6th August, please contact the hotel reception during your stay (in advance of your departure) so they will be able to arrange a taxi into Rome City or to the nearby train station. For those returning to the airport on Thursday in larger groups, we can arrange a taxi / mini -bus / coach on your behalf

Driving to Borgo

FROM FIUMICINO (DA VINCI) AIRPORT TO BORGO (JOURNEY TIME 25-30MINS)

From Da Vinci airport (Fiumicino) take the motorway for Rome. After about 2-3km you need to take the 1st exit – direction FREGENE and CIVITAVECCHIA. Go straight on this motorway for about 14 km, you will come to a toll booth where you must pay €2.00. After that you need to take the next exit – TORRIMPIETRA – (about 2 km later).

Follow that exit round to the right, right, right taking the SS1 “Via Aurelia” road northbound for Groseto /Civitavecchia / Torrimpietra. Go straight on and leave the McDonalds on your right. On the left you will see an Esso petrol garage. You need to take the next road to the right at 29 km point (the km points are marked on the side) which is preannounced as direction BRACCIANO. Turn right following the signs direction BRACCIANO, TRAGLIATA, TRAGLIATELLA into the “Via del Casale di Sant’ Angelo”. Follow this street for about 8 km until you will see a TAMOIL petrol garage on your right– take a right turn there into the “Via di Tragliata”. That is the road to the Borgo. Go around three bends (about 500 m) and the entrance to Borgo is on the right!

FROM ROME CENTRE

First of all, you need to find the “Via Aurelia” or Strada Statale 1/SS1, which obviously depends on where in Rome you are. Once you have found it you can follow the “Via Aurelia” / SS1 northbound direction Civitavecchia straight for about 20 km until the motorway becomes an A road and you arrive in Torre-in-pietra.

Continue straight on crossing over three sets of traffic lights leaving the McDonalds on your right. On the left you will see an Esso petrol garage. You need to take the next road to the right at 29 km point (the km points are marked on the side) which is preannounced as direction BRACCIANO. Turn right following the signs direction BRACCIANO, TRAGLIATA, TRAGLIATELLA into the “Via del Casale di Sant’ Angelo”. Follow this street for about 8 km until you will see a TAMOIL petrol garage on your right– take a right turn there into the “Via di Tragliata”. That is the road to the Borgo. Go around three bends (about 500 m) and the entrance to Borgo is on the right!
