Ciara and Wade first met in junior high in 2005 as both dads coached football for Monahans High School. Both never really talked to each other but knew of each other. Fast-forward to 2020, they ended up running into each other at a bar in Midland. Ciara caught Wade’s eye and that started the pursuit.

Both have different sides of the story that night but to sum it up, Ciara noticed someone she knew who is was with Wade and that prompted her to walk over and start a conversation. She needed to break away from a bad date she was on so this was her way out. The conversation was brief, but one thing she did that will forever be burned into Wade’s mind was a slight brush of her hand on his back as she walked away. That turned into the first move as Wade would then message Ciara on Facebook. It took a little bit to get her to respond, but once she did a date was set in motion. Their first date took place in Midland at Venezia’s and the rest is history.

Wade proposed to Ciara on December 2nd, 2023 at a friend’s house. Disguised as a dinner date with friends, Wade had the backyard set up with a neon sign and rose petals on the ground. Also at the house were their closest friends and family secretly hiding out in the backyard. Needless to say, Ciara said yes, and an actual dinner at the place of their first date was had afterward.
