Anthony and I met in college, at Marshall University. Probably sometime in 2016/2017. Over the years, we would often see each other at parties or the Rec and say hello. Back then, we were both very much in our own worlds, learning tough lessons, and figuring out the people we were and who we wanted to be. It wasn't until October of 2021 that we reconnected and began to see each other in a new light. Anthony had just started law school and I was finishing up medical school. At this point in our lives we had both been through various trials that had shaped us into different people than our early college years. We realize now, all that was God's plan for us. Making us into the people we needed to be, for ourselves and for each other.

October 2021, Anthony began to pursue me. I shut him down every way I knew how. But somehow by February 2022, he was starting to win me over. We started officially dating in March, after my Match day. Since that time, it's been a crazy, wild, whirlwind.

Out of all the places I could have matched, I ended up in Georgia, one of the closest on my list to Anthony in North Carolina. Despite the distance, 5+ hours one way, Anthony consistently made the drive without complaint. We got engaged in the summer of 2023. God gave us the greatest gift possible this past February in our son, Elias Rey Jaime. Anthony graduated law school May 2024, and officially closed the long distance chapter of our lives. We have so many more memories over the years and are so excited for all the ones to come. We are blessed to have so many friends and family, so much love and support. We cannot wait to share our wedding day with all of you.
