First let us introduce our two main characters. From south of Bunston, we have Mindy the Bunny. Happy go lucky and carefree, Mindy can often be found frolicking through the meadows of Bunston training for her next big race against the tortoise. To the east, we have… Benry the Bunny. Once the Biggest Bun on the Block, he’s since changed his way and now lives a very active lifestyle. He lives day to day looking forward to nothing but his next adventure.
Mindy and Benry have seen each other around and have heard of each other but have never had much interaction. Then one fateful day, Benry, looking for his next adventure, and Mindy, seeking new ways to improve her hopping performance, both decided to climb Hayward Mountain. Benry did not know it yet, but everything in his life was about to change. Benry and Mindy’s time on Hayward mountain can be described as nothing less than magical. Mindy, happy go lucky… carefree… oh so unassuming, did not realize the effect that she would have on other bunnies. Benry could not tell what it was about Mindy that was drawing him to her, but he found Mindy to be the most intriguing bunny he had ever met.
From that day forward, all Benry wanted was to get to know Mindy. He tried everything he could think of to see her again. Benry had known that Mindy wanted to try her paw at pellet ball so he suggested that to Mindy and her other bunny pals. Little did Benry know though that Hairy the Bunny had gotten in the way of this opportunity. Benry was quite disappointed and did not know how anything could go right for him at this point. Lucky for him though, Mindy just so happened to have decided to take a break from celery boat practice and was finally able to join her other bunny friends and Benry for a night out. Was this Benry’s lucky break? Though on the surface not everything had gone the way Benry had expected, a spark had begun to form between Benry and Mindy, though unsure of where things may lead, Benry made a hop of faith and asked Mindy to go out with him.
Benry was now trekking around in very unfamiliar meadows. Mindy was also a very busy bunny, which Benry realized, so he had to wake up early every day to be able to get to see Mindy. There was something about that Mindy that Benry couldn’t quite put his little bunny toes on, but he went with his gut and continued. There were times when he was nervous, times where he wasn’t sure how Mindy felt and times where he thought he’d oversleep and ruin Mindy’s view of him, but oddly enough, none of that ever crossed his mind when he saw Mindy.
It was at this point that everything clicked for Benry. He had finally realized what it was about Mindy that drew him towards her. He had really finally realized why it was a bunny that never seemed like a morning bunny could wake up every morning and not feel the slightest bit tired. It was because Benry had finally found his sunshine.
