In August 2021, Cindy and Dusty matched on Hinge and started talking. After a few weeks of texting and video chatting, Cindy and Dusty met in person in Davenport. Their first date lasted 6 hours as they ate lunch, walked along the river in downtown Davenport, and went to the Figge Art Museum. It didn't occur to either Cindy or Dusty to take a photo together until their 3rd date when they went hiking.

Cindy brought Dusty to Dubuque for the weekend and showed him the sites. They went to the Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, explored Crystal Lake Cakes and went hiking. Dusty had already met Pam and Chuck, but this was his first interaction with Luna. He won her over.

Dusty was in the wedding of a close friend in Decatur, IL. Cindy and Dusty traveled there and spent the weekend with friends. Cindy met all of Dusty's high school friends.

Needing to go to a pumpkin patch in the fall, Cindy took Dusty to a family owned patch in East Moline. There they picked flowers to make a beautiful bouquet, got lost in a corn maze, and fed the goats.

To celebrate 1 year of dating, Dusty and Cindy went to Starved Rock State Park to hike.

Cindy graduated from PA school in December 2022. Dusty was there to celebrate with her and her family

Dusty was in another close friend's wedding. By this time, Cindy was no stranger to the friend group

Cindy took Dusty to another pumpkin patch where they shot paint balls, launched pumpkins, and of course, got lost in a corn maze

Dusty surprised Cindy as she pulled in the garage when returning home from a day with Pam. He took her to the patio area where he had hung up string lights and told her that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. She said yes and Pam was there to capture the moment.
