CJ and I both attended Anderson University. During my senior year and CJ's junior year, our good friend, Riley Dixon, helped get us together. Before this, neither one of us knew much of each other. This made the first date feel so fun because there was no pressure to commit. Riley helped set us up, and it felt like the whole school was on board for getting us together. We went on our first date in October of 2020, and we went to the most fitting spot for both of us - Chili's (the Lord knew we needed someone who loved Chili's as much as both of us). We continued to go on dates and eventually made it official. Most of our relationship was done through long distance. CJ moved back to Fountain Inn during his senior year for student teaching, and I stayed in Anderson, SC to teach Kindergarten. During those two years, we spent our relationship on Facetime during the week and together on the weekends. Finally, I was able to move to sweet Fountain Inn this summer after he proposed to me in May. We are still adjusting to actually living 5 minutes from each other, and it feels like the best gift. God has been so kind to us in our relationship, and we feel so lucky to get to settle into life in Fountain Inn together. We have been together through the good and the bad, and we have learned so much along the way. All the glory goes to God. We cannot wait to continue our journey with all our people by our sides.
