Our story begins at our backyard fence. In march of 2020 I (Claire) was sitting in my backyard with Mogli, talking on the phone with my mom. After a while I heard what sounded like a bicycle hitting a jump, over and over and over again. Well I told my mom what I heard and she told me I should pop my head over the fence. And that’s exactly what I did. I popped my head over the fence and asked what they were doing and that is when I met Kevin (Justin’s dad), Nate (Justin’s younger brother), and his friend Luke. After a couple minutes of talking with them finding out that Justin loved mountain biking and dirt biking I finally met Justin. Yes, we were still at the fence this whole time. Justin and I exchanged contacts and left it at “we should ride sometime”. A week later he invited me over to hangout with his family which was where everything started. After that my mom came up and we all started having dinners together about every night and hanging out on the weekends. My mom and Justin’s mom would talk about how Justin and I just needed to date but Justin and I we were happy just being friends. Well after a couple weeks Nate let the cat out of the bag and told my mom Justin liked me. Fast forward a couple months and we were dating. Felt like over night we became this couple who not only could hangout with each other’s families but who also could mountain bike, dirt bike, camp, and just do so much more together. We both are so grateful we found each other. We have had our up’s and our downs just like everyone else but after everything we have been through such as arguments, injuries, surgeries, a pandemic, oh and FIRES. Yes I mean multiple fires. We feel like all of these happenings have made our relationship so strong! We are just so excited to enjoy this next step in our relationship together!
