On March 29th, 2023 Avery and I walked into praise team rehearsal at Green Acres, having no idea what the Lord had in store. We both moved back to Tyler around the same time just a few months before, feeling that the Lord was calling us to a new life in the town we grew up in. We faithfully followed the Lord’s lead, not knowing what was to come.

At the end of rehearsal, we all came together in a prayer circle, which we do not always do. Somehow we ended up standing next to one another in the circle. As soon as we finished praying, we immediately turned to one another. We talked for more than 45 minutes after rehearsal was over.

Driving away that night, I had a feeling that the Lord might have just introduced me to my future husband. Avery and I have talked every day since! The Lord’s divine hand has been on every step of our relationship, and it is so clear that we were made to be together. It has been such a sweet testament to the Lord’s provision and perfect timing!

A year later, Avery planned my dream proposal in the exact spot where we met in the sanctuary of the church! All of our friends and family were there, and he played a very special guitar while we all worshipped together singing Gratitude by Brandon Lake. This is a moment that I will truly never forget! We are both overjoyed to start our lives together in just a few short months!
